Gallatin Longhunters Name Mark Wilson General Manager

Gallatin, TN — The Gallatin Longhunters are proud to announce Mark Wilson as the organization’s new General Manager, bringing decades of experience in education, coaching, and leadership to the franchise.

Wilson steps into the role with a vision centered on community, connection, and creating a memorable experience for fans and players alike.

“This job will allow me to work with great people, but it also provides an opportunity that will bring the City of Gallatin together through the game of baseball,” said Wilson.

A key focus for Wilson will be ensuring that Longhunters games are accessible and enjoyable for the entire community. “Fans can expect an affordable night at the park for the entire family,” he said. “My number one goal is for them to leave the game with the anticipation of returning to the next one.”

Wilson was drawn to the opportunity through the passion and vision of the organization’s ownership. “I was introduced to this opportunity by the owner of this team, and his excitement for this organization is infectious,” Wilson shared. “It made me want to be part of building something special here in Gallatin.”

Originally from Union City, Tennessee, Wilson grew up immersed in baseball, playing in Little League, Babe Ruth, American Legion, and at Union City High School. He continued his athletic career at Middle Tennessee State University, where he played football for the Blue Raiders from 1979 to 1983.

Wilson’s professional career has spanned more than four decades in education and coaching, beginning in Social Circle, Georgia, and continuing through stops in Brownsville, Tennessee, Columbia Academy, Ezell-Harding Christian School, and Gallatin High School. Entering his 43rd year in education this coming August, Wilson has made a lasting impact on countless student-athletes throughout his career.

Off the field, Wilson has been married since 1984 and is a proud father of two and grandfather to two granddaughters, values that continue to shape his leadership style and commitment to community.

With a lifelong connection to sports, a passion for mentoring young athletes, and a deep appreciation for community engagement, Wilson is well-positioned to lead the Gallatin Longhunters into an exciting new chapter.

The Longhunters look forward to building a program that brings families together, celebrates the game, and creates lasting memories for fans across Gallatin.
